SKI SEASON!!!

SKI SEASON

Well the reason for why i haven't blogged in a while, is that i have just worked a ski season!!

Great experience and hard work but would advise anyone to do it!! Plus there was some time for boarding and i learnt how to ski as well!

Now that i have finished my ski season - i came back for an interview to be an outdoor activity instructor.

I know what most of you are thinking:

What about the degree??

What about your Crafts work!??

I am still going to be doing my own work and selling it still, but this new job is part of my plan to go travelling. It is something iv always wanted to do and plus i get to teach the children crafts at the outdoor centre too.

My work in M.A.D.E

As I handed over my peices that i had made for this shop, i was a little nervous as to see if anything was to actually sell!!

But the more emails i had recieved with what i had sold, it had built my confidence up to make more and keep going!!

Here's some photos of just the necklaces i had made on show in their store.

M.A.D.E

WOOOHHOOOO!!

A shop called M.A.D.E in Cirencester has kindly agreed to sell my work within their shop. I had a meeting with them to show them my work that i had, some newly made and some made from my degree show and they loved it all!!!

The lovely ladies that run the store have given me feedback and have been able to help me extend the range with their great ideas!

Im able to sell my work with gre
at like minded people such as: ilikepens, Jennifer Collier and Gemma Correll.

Some of the items that i am selling are my knecklaces that seem to be catching people's eye:

More Tea vicor

I had been asked by work if i would like to enter any drawings into their catalogue competition. I had entered a very basic drawing before leaving for Poole:

With more time i would have entered in something that would have been really quirky but they liked what i had given them.

Skate!

Skateboard Competition:

I was asked to enter a design for a skateboard deck comp. Here was the design i had come up with:
I had some great feedback from the judges and they are wanting me to use the design in my other work!!

The Wonders of a Fish Eye!!!!

We all know that Gold Fish supposedly have a memory of 3 seconds but have you Ever wondered what a fish can see like???

Lomography is the answer! It's an amazing fish eye camera!! It's way to cool for school!!!

These are just a few images from the film i took:

The hard part is to try and get as many shifts at the lovely White Stuff clothing store who are trying to help me out. Plus they throw a the best paella party with wigs on!!

Apart from saving for travells - i hear you ask - WHAT ABOUT THAT DEGREE!!!!????
Well at the end of my 3rd year i had gone into the metals workshop and had produced lots of lovely items that i hope to be selling soon but that story is for anouther blog post.
