Sleigh Bells Ring

Its Christmas time!

People have their woolly hats and gloves on with mulled wine in their hands. Yum!!

On 27th November I had a Christmas stall at Aldsworth Hall which went well. Certainly got me into the Christmas spirit!

I had successfully made a advent bunting calender that had sold to a lovely family. Lots of feedback from people who had bought from me, who loved my idea of re-using most of the materials i had found. 100% hand made

Forked!!

Well Iv Been Forked!!

While carrying on with my make do and mend theme and the necklaces i had made, i came up with this design of the spork from the fork.

I had drilled a couple of holes to where i would thread the piece and the saw away one spork from a small fork. Then thread it through some leather or twine.

I will be presenting the idea to a couple of shops to sell along with the necklaces.

I had given one to my friend for her birthday present and she was delighted:

"Best. Card. Ever. Got it this morning ... the fork is a touch of genius! x"

"Your bracelet has become a permanent fixture to my wrist!"

Pretty Polly

POLLY

I was designing a card for my friends birthday when i had gone back to a drawing i had done before i went on my ski season.

It was pretty Polly

A drawing of a parrot which i then added the writing next to it.

I had printed on a card to see what it would look like and then added colour and thought it looked great. As to say my friend loved it!!!

Paint Your Toes!!

Paint your toes

Go for it guys there are millions of colours to choose from out there it's about time we show off our toes!!!!

OK so its not the most amazing weather out there at the moment but I'm sure if we all start painting our toes and show them off to the world then the sun has to give and show its face!!!

You'll feel like it is summer!!

Ski Season Work

What was i doing during my ski season??

Well although i had worked as a Snow Ranger; looking after children and taking them to their ski lesson. I had also found time to do some of my own drawing. Not a lot but it's something.

Their pretty much doodles just like the last picture, but i had really enjoyed drawing anything that came to mind and not have a breif behind it!

SKI SEASON!!!

SKI SEASON

Well the reason for why i haven't blogged in a while, is that i have just worked a ski season!!

Great experience and hard work but would advise anyone to do it!! Plus there was some time for boarding and i learnt how to ski as well!

Now that i have finished my ski season - i came back for an interview to be an outdoor activity instructor.

I know what most of you are thinking:

What about the degree??

What about your Crafts work!??

I am still going to be doing my own work and selling it still, but this new job is part of my plan to go travelling. It is something iv always wanted to do and plus i get to teach the children crafts at the outdoor centre too.

My work in M.A.D.E

As I handed over my peices that i had made for this shop, i was a little nervous as to see if anything was to actually sell!!

But the more emails i had recieved with what i had sold, it had built my confidence up to make more and keep going!!

Here's some photos of just the necklaces i had made on show in their store.
